About Judy Gratton

Managing Broker / Real Estate Consultant

It’s about experience.

I fell in love with the Puget Sound area the first time I saw it. The experience was breathtaking.

The mountains, the water, the skyline, it was so beautiful. I knew that if I could I wanted to live here.

When Jim and I got married we had the opportunity to choose where we would live, and we chose the Seattle area. We continue to love this area.

When it came time to buy our first home I remember what a stressful experience that was. We didn’t know anything except we wanted to live in that house. Inspections, negotiations, contracts were all a foreign language to us.

I have been in the real estate industry now for over 25 years. I have helped MANY people through the same experience. My goal has always been to make their experience as stress free as possible, and the outcome exceed their expectations. I know what makes a real estate transaction and home purchase or sale successful, and what doesn’t, I know what makes the experience for a buyer or seller a good one, or a bad one. I know what to look for in a home or a neighborhood, and what to avoid. What makes a strong offer that could get you a home in a multiple offer situation and what won’t. I know what will make a home more marketable and help to fetch the best possible price in a market and what is just wasting money. It’s about experience. I have it.

Jim joined me in the real estate industry a couple of years ago. He brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to our group. (He can also tell you quite a bit about wine if you ask him)

Together we offer our clients a team with knowledge of markets, contracts, and sales.

We offer experience.

About Jim Gratton

Real Estate Broker / Real Estate Consultant

I’m a Northwest native, born in Idaho, but a 40-year resident of the Seattle area. Judy & I moved here the day before Mt. St. Helens erupted. Married less than a year, we had fallen in love with the Puget Sound from earlier visits and wanted to make this our forever home.

After a 35-year sales and marketing career in the wine business here in Washington, I opted a few years ago to join Judy in her real estate business. The joy and satisfaction she exhibited every time she guided families through the complexities of a home purchase or sale was contagious. I wanted to be a part of that.

My father was a Realtor, at one time chairman of the Idaho State Real Estate Commission. He often said that real estate is a noble profession, that navigating clients through the most complex, most stressful, and potentially most expensive transactions of their lives is an admirable calling.

Judy’s 25 years of experience in real estate has eased my transition into it. She has advanced degrees in the industry and is licensed as a managing broker and a real estate instructor. She’s mentored many new agents including me and continues to be asked for her advice from colleagues throughout the industry. As a team, we bring you experience in sales and marketing, in contract negotiations, in all aspects of the real estate transaction. We keep you informed and advised at every step of the process. We’re your counselors; we’re your advocates, we’re your guides.

About Dennis Day

Real Estate Broker / Real Estate Consultant

Hello, my name is Dennis Day, and I'm a member of the Edge Group Real Estate team. I was born in a Seattle hospital and have lived in the Seattle area all my life. I was raised in the Northshore region of King County (Bothell, Kenmore, Lake Forest Park) and live in Lake Forest Park with my wife of 28 years. We have two young adult children whom we adore.

I graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in History and a teaching certificate. I spent 31 years in public education, including 24 years as an elementary school librarian for the Northshore and Shoreline school districts. When I retired from education, I knew I wanted to go into a service industry. Real Estate is a service industry!

Now, instead of helping a child find that ”just right book.” I'm helping you find that just right home. I spent my entire life working in service industries; from ski instructor to volunteer youth soccer coach, to food service. I love helping people. It's what I do.

If you choose to work with me and the Edge Group team, the first question I will ask is:

”How can I help you?”
